Toronto –Christine Holmes of Arnprior anted up and went ‘ALL IN’ to win the Poker Lotto All In jackpot worth $211,000.10on October 26, 2021. She also won $5,000 on the instant portion of her Poker Lotto play bringing her total winnings to $216,000.10
Ms. Holmes said she plays the lottery regularly in honour of her late dad who loved to play.
“I’ve been playing Poker Lotto All In for a few months now,” she said while at the OLG Prize Centre to pick up her cheque.
A mother and grandmother, she checked her ticket while at the gas station.
“I asked for a Poker All In and watched the winning hand come up – my legs turned to jello and I was shaking,” she remarked. “I was so excited, I had no idea what was happening. I felt like I was out of my body!”
Ms. Holmes called her partner to share the big news.
“I said, ‘What would you do if I told you I won $216,000?’ and at first he thought I was joking but then he said, ‘What! Really?’ He was so excited!”
Christine plans to treat herself to some new shoes, slippers and plan a girl’s trip to Toronto with her best friend.
“This win provides me with so many opportunities,” she smiled.
The winning ticket was purchased at Canadian Tire Gas Bar + on Daniel Street in Arnprior.
