Charges laid in fatal collision  


Killaloe — Charges have been laid in connection with a three-vehicle collision last June 5 that claimed the life of Randy Neff, 54, of Golden Lake.
William Wagner of Laurentian Valley Township, 43, has been charged with careless driving causing death.
OPP responded to a three-vehicle collision involving a pick-up truck and two passenger cars on Round Lake Road, near Jack’s Lake, in Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township late Wednesday afternoon, June 5.
Investigation revealed the truck, travelling northbound on Round Lake Road, struck two passengers cars travelling southbound. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 42-year-old driver of the pick-up truck from Laurentian Valley, along with the 43-year-old passenger in the truck from Pembroke and the 55-year-old driver of one of the passenger cars from Round Lake, were taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
Mr. Neff, who resided along Tramore Road in North Algona Wilberforce Township, was returning home from his job at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories at Chalk River at the time of crash.
