Douglas – To say the famous Douglas Tavern has undergone some changes since auctioneers Dan and Amanda Peters bought the landmark hotel property earlier this year would be an understatement.
The couple held a soft opening for the community’s newest retail establishment, the Douglas Trading Post, last Thursday and it combines their successful auction and mattress retail business with local artwork and other merchandise in the storied structure on main street.
