Students and staff at Eganville District Public School (EDPS) finished their school day Tuesday in unfamiliar surroundings after being evacuated around 3 p.m.
The Bonnechere Valley Township Fire Department was dispatched to the school at approximately 2:45 for the report of a smoke detector going off. Unable to locate the
Source of the alarm, the students and staff were evacuated to the nearby Eganville Arena on Jane Street.
