Cobden – Highway 17 between Turcotte and Mountain Roads, west of Cobden, is closed this morning while Ontario Provincial Police officers investigate a fatal collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the mishap at about 6:30 a.m.

The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the motor vehicle was not injured.

 An OPP Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigator are assisting with the investigation.

A short detour is in place.
