The Renfrew County District Catholic School Board has announced changes for the is 2019-2020 school year with the redeployment of vice-principals and principals. Those being redeployed include Clint Young, who will become principal at St. Michael’s Catholic in Douglas. He replaces Mary Catherine Brisco, who is retiring. Brennan Trainor will take over the principalship at Bishop Smith after serving as principal at St. Joseph’s High School in Renfrew for eight years. Derek Lennox will become principal at St. Joe’s High School after serving as principal at St. Joseph’s Elementary School in Arnprior for two years. The principalship at St. Joseph’s in Arnprior will be filled by Julie Huckabone, who has served as principal at St. Andrew’s Elementary School in Killaloe for two years. Replacing Mrs. Huckabone at St. Andrew’s is T.J. O’Grady, who has served as principal and acting principal and Special Education Resource Teacher (SERT) at Our Lady of Grace in Westmeath since September 2017. Julie Dumouchel, who is currently vice-principal and Special Education Resource Teacher (SERT) at Our Lady of Lourdes in Pembroke, will become principal and SERT at Our Lady of Grace. Kevin Walsh will replace vice-principal Dumouchel at Our Lady of Lourdes, leaving his year-long position as vice-principal and SERT at St. Francis of Assisi in Petawawa. Sally Douglas, who has spent the last two years as vice-principal at BSCHS, will become vice-principal at St. Francis of Assisi, as well as SERT.
