Al Letang, born and raised in Renfrew, will return to Canada with a Gold Medal for his role as an Assistant Coach on Canada’s Junior Men’s Hockey Team. The Junior squad defeated the Russian team in the Golds Medal match this past Sunday. Mr. Letang, who is currently the Head Coach of the Owen Sound Attack, was named to the coaching staff, headed by Dale Hunter, in July 2019. Mr. Letang played minor hockey with the Renfrew Timberwolves before embarking on a 20-year professional career, primarily in various European leagues.
