COVID-19 forces parish to cancel Wilno’s main event

The large sign advertising the Wilno Chicken Supper usually goes up in early August, not only advertising the Labour Day weekend event, but also signifying the end of another summer season is approaching.

Wilno – The chicken supper held the Sunday of Labour Day Weekend  on Shrine Hill has been a Valley custom for nearly 70 years and not only is the traditional meal appreciated by about 2,000 people every year but the event also signifies the unofficial end to summer.
