COVID-19 the last straw for Tracey’s Ice Cream in Renfrew

Tracey’s Ice Cream store on Lorne Street in Renfrew was patronized by several generations of Renfrew and area residents. The company, which was known for its quality ice cream and other dairy products, recently became insolvent and now its production facilities are idle and the distribution plant closed.

Renfrew – Just over two years ago, the future for a family-owned dairy business established 85 years ago was bright and promising.

The owners of Centreside Dairy 80 had partnered with Parmalat Canada giving the company exclusive distributorship rights to a wide area in Eastern Ontario and all of the Ottawa Valley.
