The grass fire Wednesday that quickly spread from its origin on Cormac Road destroyed two century-old log barns filled with hay on the Earl McCauley property.

Cormac – A large grass fire last week that kept firefighters from Bonnechere Valley (BV), Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglin (BLR), and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) busy for much of the day on Wednesday, caused heavy damages on a century-old farm bordering the property where the fire originated.
