Pembroke — A Tuesday afternoon structure fire at an older three-storey brick residence on Mackay Street in Pembroke was contained to one apartment on the second floor thanks to the quick response of the Pembroke Fire Department. The occupants of all five units, who were alerted by working smoke alarms, had vacated the building prior to the department arriving.
