Two women were taken to hospital Wednesday afternoon following a two-vehicle head-on collision on Highway 17, west of Cobden near Finnerty Road at about 2:10 p.m.

The driver of an eastbound SUV was sent to the trauma centre at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Site while the operator of a small subcompact car was taken to nearby hospital.
