It is with sad and heavy hearts that we share the news of our Fathers passing.
Carl Maurice Laroche, son of the late Authur J and the late Aurore Laroche (nee: Dumouchel). Carl was born May 25, 1934 and raised in Chalk River. He served his country in the Airborne RCR from 1952 to 1954. Carl then began Chalk River Construction, and was very instrumental in the surrounding communities growth that he was honoured with streets bearing his name both in Chalk River and Petawawa. He owned and operated the Country Kitchen and was an avid sportsman in hunting and fishing. Along with his love of hockey and his favourite baseball team ‘the Toronto Blue Jays’. He enjoyed taking his love for growing communities to Blind River 1979 to 1985, Marathon in 1985 to 1994, then returning to his much loved Ottawa Valley in 1995.
A very proud father of Ronald (Lenore), David (Susan), Debbie Martin (Royce), Brian and Noreen. Granpa to Nicholas, Sara-Beth, Nathan, Chad and Megan. His brothers and sisters the late Wilfred Laroche (the late Theresa), Loretta Baker (the late Eddie), the late Ailene Gray (the late Art), Frances Haggart (the late Wilf), Jean Jibb (the late Harry), the late Rene Laroche (the late Nancy), the late Betty Turcotte (the late Melvin), the late Margaret Audet (the late Andre), and Ellen Way (Bob).
