Passed away peacefully at Marianhill, on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, in her 86th year.
Diane Beverly Smith (nee Hills) of Pembroke, predeceased by Parker Smith and their two sons, Paul and Michael and grandchildren, James Molson (Sara) and infant, Kaitlyn Molson. Predeceased by her parents, Walter and Fern Hills (nee Stapleton) of Timmins and by brother, Bill (Marie) Hills.
She is survived by her cherished daughter, Julie Molson and her favorite son-in-law, Jeff Molson of Whitby. Very loved daughter-in-laws, Kathy Smith-Kuiack, Gayle Smith. Sister-in-law of Glenda Breen (Mike Johnston) and “adopted” sister Gisele Marion. Proud grandmother of Sarah Smith (Steve Lallier), Tiffany Smith (Joe Lombardii), Matt (Tracy) Molson, Laura Smith, Emily Smith (Nick Rehel), Scott (Tara) Molson, Jordan Smith (Kristen Charles) and Brent (Jessica) Molson. Sadly missed by her treasured great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Mombourquette; Luca and Laia Lombardii; Luke, Mark, John and Mary Molson; Cyrus, Sabrina and Sebastian Molson; Kherington Smith, Ryker and Stoick Rehel and Steven, Bruce, Clara and Esther Molson. Survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home 141, Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Service was held in the chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m., followed by cremation. Interment of ashes in Cobden Union Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
