Passed away peacefully in hospital on November 15, 2023. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Garvin H. Handke.

Loving mother of Deborah Schilkie (Mike). Proud grandmother of Ben Schilkie (Chelsea Lutyk) and Allyson Schilkie (Kevin Mciver). Cherished sister of the late Beatrice Schruder (the late Harvey), Beryl Richardson (Keith), Betty Hammel (the late Wallace) and Vincent Rosien (Diana). Daughter of the late Albert Rosien and Elizabeth Rosien (nee Kuehl). Erna will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family wishes to thank her siblings, PSW’s and nurses for taking such good care of Erna all these years.

Visitation will be held at Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Thursday, November 23 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will take place at Zion Lutheran Church, 454 Miller St, Pembroke on Friday, November 24 at 11 am. Reception to follow. Burial to take place at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
