It is with profound sorrow we announce the train of life has ended for Frances Elizabeth Doelle, at the Perley Health for Veterans in Ottawa, on September 12, 2023 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Howard Doelle (2015) for over 66 years.
She leaves to mourn her cherished children, Terry (Diane) of Ottawa, Heather (Tim) of Ottawa, and Kevin (Marlene) of Metcalfe; her granddaughter, Brittany (Ottawa); her sister-in-law, Joan Carnival (London), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and the USA.
She was the daughter of the late Francesco and Rose (Mayhew) Carnevale, and was the last survivor of her family. Pre-deceased by her siblings and spouses, Isabel (Ambrose) Gutoskie, Irene (Telesphore) St. Pierre, Marcelline (Ralph) Haskell, Vincent (Mabel) Carnival, and Parnell Carnival.
Frances was an WWII Army Veteran and a member of the Pembroke Legion Branch 72 for over 60 years. She has received her Pin and Bar for her years of membership. Her hobbies were knitting, quilting, making home-made bread, etc., but her interest the past number of years however was on her computer daily sending emails to family and friends to keep in touch. She welcomed friends and family in her home for tea and cookies for years and even for home cooked meals. She was a giver not a taker and believed in giving the gift of wisdom and friendship and that was better than anything that money could buy. She encouraged us to further our education to obtain a satisfactory career and took an interest in our progress and accomplishments. Frances was dedicated to her family who meant a lot to her. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. Frances was always on independent lady and was determined to do all her household chores.
Age never stopped her from doing the things that mattered to her. She was always available for family and friends on a daily basis.

Hing (Pembroke), Veterans Affairs (DVA) for their support, St. Elizabeth Nurse Chantal Parsons (Bryson, Quebec) and Betty Dziedzic (Care Partners, PSW’s) Pembroke, Legion Br. 72, Gordon Brandstadt, Wayne Edwards and Velma Cliche for their genuine interest in her well-being, Paramedics (Renfrew County) and Ken Stalkie a dear friend for his day/evening visits and good deeds, and to the dedicated Staff of the Rideau 2 South, Perley Health.
