It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mom, Gail Ann Wren of Douglas, who passed away peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2023 at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital, with her devoted children by her side.

Gail Wren, nee Ritchey, beloved wife of the late James Wren. Gail is survived by her loving children, daughter Amanda and son Jason (Lily) Wren, and her adored grandchildren, Patrick, Sofia and Bronn. Daughter of the late Pat and Stella Ritchey of Cobden. Dear sister in law of John Wren (Audrey), Rita Olson (Richard Salter), Irene Kumli (Paul), Clare Kilroy (Tom). She will be sadly missed by her wonderful nieces and nephews, Kelly, Jim, Melissa (Walter), Kathleen (Jean), Krista (Noel), Katie and Matthew, and her great nieces and nephews, William, Xavier, Sahara, Julia and Grace. Gail will be united with her sister and best friend, Diana Ritchey, her sister in law, Mary-Catherine Wren, and her brother in law, Bob Olson.

Thank-you to the caring and compassionate staff at Renfrew Victoria Hospital and the Ottawa General Hospital. The family would like to send a special thank-you to our friends and neighbours who supported us all during this difficult time.

As an expression of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital or the Ontario SPCA would be appreciated. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Douglas on Monday, November 13 at 11 am. Interment St. James Roman Catholic Cemetery, Eganville. A lite luncheon will be served at St. Michael’s School following the Funeral Mass. Arrangements entrusted to the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home Cobden.
