It is with deep sorrow that the family of Garth McIntyre announces his passing in the afternoon of Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the age of 81.

Garth is survived by his loving wife, Betty (nee Troutman) and children; Ann, Julie (Ed) and PattyLyn (Thane); grandchildren Tyler, Zack, Courtney, Dara, Madison, Spencer, and Elyza; great-grandchildren, Kiannah, Bryce, Brock, Dax, Ella, Alaina, Declan, Aurora and Vaida.

He will be greatly missed by his sister, Marion Coombes, brother-in-laws, Lorne Troutman and Bob Troutman (Pierrette) and sister-in-laws, Elaine McIntyre, Liz Troutman.

Garth was predeceased by parents, Robert and Vera (nee Black) McIntyre, brother, Lynden McIntyre, brothers-in-law, Joey Troutman, Jerry Couturier, Dr. Archie Coombes, sisters-in-law, Mary Couturier and Myrna Troutman.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional medical team Dr. Katie Ann Forfar, Kerri, Haley, Jesse and the Paramedics who cared for Garth with compassion and expertise.


Garth’s final care has been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville.
A private graveside celebration of life will be held at a later date.
