It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Helen Quinn, (née Jeffrey) on August 23, 2024. Born December 2, 1941 in Noranda, Quebec to the late Vincent and Mary Jeffrey. Her warmth, kindness and sense of humour will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Loving wife of Raymond Quinn, devoted mother of Shannon (Dante Pascali) and Thomas (Rhonda Johnston), and cherished “Nana” of Ben and Alison Pascali, and Bri and Nève Quinn – her unconditional love and encouragement were her superpower and gave strength to many.
Helen will be missed by her brother, Raymond (Dianne) Jeffrey, sisters, Maureen Ireson, Elizabeth (Wayne) Maloney, and Alice (William) Johnson, and sister-in-law, Helen O’Grady. She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Jeffrey, and brothers-in-law, David Ireson, Arnold O’Grady, Father Jack Quinn, and Leo (Marilyn) Quinn. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Helen made friends wherever she went, and will be missed by many, including those from Noranda, Ottawa, Eganville, Golden Lake, and across her 45-year career with Burke-Robertson.
Visitation will be held at Kelly Funeral Home, 2313 Carling Avenue, on Wednesday, August 28th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Thursday, August 29th after 12 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 29th, at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 153 Woodroffe Avenue, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall with light refreshments. Interment in Eganville will take place at a later date.
