August 7, 1937 – November 30, 2023
(Former Co-Owner/Operator of Renfrew-Pontiac Livestock)

After living under the cancer cloud since 2003, Harry’s journey ended at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital while receiving the best care possible and with the love of his family by his side early Thursday morning, November 30, 2023.

Harry was born in the Scotch Bush Settlement, the seventh son of Hugh Dick. Harry’s mother was Jennie (nee Sharpe) Dick. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Dave (late Bea), Gordon (late Jessie), Ken (late Inez), Lorne (Phyllis), Don (late June), and Jim (Lola), and his sisters, Eliza (late Harold Foster), Gerte (late Frank Helferty), Dot (late Gerry Adams), Ruby (Beattie Crozier) and Agnes (Harvey Murray). He is survived by his younger brother, Ron and his wife, Teresa and their family. Harry will be missed by many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

Harry married Lois Eady, daughter of the late Stewart Eady and the late Hazel Wallace on December 31, 1957. They had five children: Benson married Heather Robertson, Roy married Melanie Francoeur, Bob married Joanne Moore, Betty Mae married Mahlon Bryanton and Carson married Michelle Hazelwood. Harry and Lois have 15 grandchildren and expect their 17th great grandchild in January, 2024. Harry was also a chosen father to Beverly Ferguson Magill and Mitch Watts.

The family is very thankful for all the care offered by the special staff at RVH third floor.

During every situation in life, Harry’s faith sustained him. He greatly appreciated the Wednesday night bible studies and the Sunday morning meetings in his home and all those he had fellowship with.

Harry’s final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior, where visitation will take place on Thursday, December 7 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and again on Friday morning, December 8 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A Funeral Service will take place in the Pilon Family Chapel on Friday morning at 11 am. A reception will follow at the Arnprior Masonic Hall, 31 James Street, Arnprior.

Harry’s family would appreciate if any desiring to make donations would consider the Douglas Public Cemetery, where Harry’s remains will be buried at a later date.

“Just as I am, O Lord,
Not what I’m thought to be;
Just as I am, a struggling soul,
For life and liberty.”
