Peacefully at Hospice Renfrew on July 18, 2024.

Cherished husband of Noma Fitzgibbon. Loving father to David Deshane, Laurie (Jim Millar). Proud Poppie and sadly missed by Nathan Deshane (Julie Obal), Curtis Millar (Melissa Rhode), Sarah Millar. Great Grandpa of Jacqueline Deshane, Macie and Katie Millar.

Predeceased by parents, Arnold and Eva Deshane. Brother of Lillian (late Bernard), Arnold (Nancy), Ron Deshane (late Dorothy), Irene (Lloyd), and the late Marilyn (Mike) and Anna (Donald). Also fondly remembered by brother-in-law, Bob Fitzgibbon (Goldie), Donnie and the late Harry (Brenda).

Retired from Canadian National Railways after 37 years and longtime member of the Ontario Fur Managers Federation and the Renfrew Fur Council.

The family wishes to send a sincere thank you to Dr. Lavigne, his staff and Hospice Renfrew for their compassionate care. They also wish to thank Dad’s friends who visited in his last days; Bob, John, Dennis and Bill.

Jack’s final care has been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew where visitation was held on Sunday, July 21. A brief visitation took place on Monday morning. A Funeral Service was celebrated at Trinity St. Andrew’s United Church. Reception followed at the Renfrew Curling Club. A private family Interment was held at the Admaston Cemetery.
