John Shayne Watson, better known as “Jack,” of Pembroke, passed away peacefully at his home on May 21, 2024 in his 59th year.

Jack was predeceased by his sister, Susan; his father, Joe (Arthur) and his mother, Shirley (Helen). He is survived by his sisters, Janie (Wayne) Nichol and Mary (Jerome) Afelskie; his nephew, Taylor (Sarah) Nichol; his niece, Kayleigh (Ryan) McCrae; his great nephews, Blake, Cole and Jack; and his great niece, Myleigh.

Jack was loved and cared for by the staff at Community Living, Pembroke throughout much of his life. He was especially fond of his Meggie, who provided much love, support and advocacy for his many needs throughout the past years. He will be missed by his roommate of many years, Arnie.

A small private gathering will be held at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville, on Tuesday, May 28 from 10 to 11 am to remember Jack. Burial will follow at Melville United Church cemetery.
