March 24, 1955 – October 23, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John “Eddie” Roche on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 69 years of age. He was surrounded by loved ones at Foothills Hospital Centre in Calgary, AB after complications brought on by an accident.

John Thomas Roche was born on March 24, 1955 in Killaloe, Ontario to Archie and Teresa (Culhane) Roche. He was a beloved husband to Judy Tabler (Calgary, AB), a loving father to two boys and their wives; Michael (Kim) Tabler (Calgary, AB). Nicholas (Kaiyu) Tabler (Vancouver, BC). Beloved brother to Tim (Robin) Roche (Ottawa, ON), Maureen (Ken) Mullin (Killaloe, ON). A loving brother-in-law to Patrick and Kathy Tabler (Calgary, AB). He will also be lovingly missed by his mother-in-law, Joyce Tabler and nieces and nephews John Tabler (Calgary, AB), Alex Tabler (St John, NB), Philip Mullin (Ottawa, ON), Alix (Andrew) Murack (Fort McMurray, AB) and his grandchildren Alixus, Maximus & Oliver (Calgary, AB).

John grew up in Killaloe, Ontario, spending his summers at Round Lake with friends and family. He moved to Calgary, AB in the 70’s and joined a well-loved community of friends who became family. He worked as a copier technician at IKON & RICOH, retiring in 2020. He enjoyed watching sports, playing pool and cards. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and grand- “puppy”, Happy.

John “Eddie” Roche will forever be loved and greatly missed by all who knew him.

Celebration of Life will be held in Killaloe in the summer months. Date to be determined.
