January 29, 1942 – November 12, 2024

Passed away peacefully at the Madawaska Valley Hospice on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the age of 82. Son of the late Max and Mary (Lipinski) Borutski. He is survived by many cousins near and far, friends and community. He was predeceased by his many aunts and uncles.
Ken was affectionately known as the “Chauffeur” to his mom and aunts but aside from them, he loved giving rides to his cousins in the bug or doon buggy.
Ken frequented many local restaurants, but most known for being a regular for Chinese on Saturday evening. He also enjoyed attending many church community dinners. He truly loved to gather with his family on the Lipinski and Borutski farms. Aside from being very passionate about his faith, Ken had a love for trains and was always interested in how things were made and how they would work. If there was music, you could count on Ken enjoying his time. His love for music was so strong. He grew up playing guitar alongside his mom on piano and dad fiddling. He spent many events at the “dugout” and if he was not at the dugout he would listen to his jukebox that we all enjoyed so much.
The family would like to extend their most heartfelt thank you to the Madawaska Valley Hospice team, St. Francis Memorial Hospital team, Valley Manor team (especially activities), Carefore Mackay Campus, Champlain Community Care Health Services (especially Physio – Kristen, Occ. Therapy – Stephanie), Pembroke Regional Hospital and the Ottawa Hospital – General Campus for their dedicated support.
Ken’s final care has been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe where visitation was held on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 11:00am until 12:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church, Round Lake Centre at 1:00pm. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
