Kerry Layman passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 3 surrounded by his family.
Kerry, son of Ken Layman (Bonnechere Manor) and the late Bernice Layman (nee Mau). He is survived by his wife of almost 32 years, Colette Layman; his sons, Derek Layman (Allison) and Brandon Layman; his brother, Kirk (Chris); his sister, Karen (John); his grandchild, Rhett; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Kerry’s first love was always his family. He was an avid outdoorsman; he loved fishing, snowshoeing, and campfires. He loved camping and exploring new places. As a carpenter, his skills were in high demand. There was never a job too small. Kerry was always willing to help anybody or any family member that required his expertise. He was definitely a jack of all trades. In his down time he was an avid reader, loved hockey, and watching movies. Kerry had a big heart and will be remembered as a kind, giving, compassionate man. No words can express the grief we have at this time but we are grateful for all the great memories we have of him.
As per his wishes, there will be no wake or service. Cremation will take place.
The family invites you to gather wherever you may live and reminisce about the memories you may have of Kerry with your loved ones.
In memory of Kerry, please consider a donation to the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation or the Pembroke Regional Hospital. Tributes, condolences and donations may be made online at www.zohrfuneralhome.com
