Lee passed peacefully at home with family by his side on Friday, September 8, 2023. He was 72.
Dearly loved husband of Tina Duncan. Loving father of Lisa Barnes and amazing stepfather of Tori, Jake and Emily. Proud grandfather/papa to Liam, Jayce and Oliver. He will be missed by all his nieces and nephews and friends!
Lee was the oldest of six siblings, to whom he was a very special brother, a best friend, a confidante, and hero in his own way. He loved the wild and wonderful country roads of West Virginia all his life and never forgot them, even as he moved to the majestic and adventurous land of Canada. Lee could make anywhere feel like home. He is preceded in death by parents, Carl Haven Duncan, Sr. and Lily May Duncan of Wyoming County, WV; sister, Ruby Jackson of Raleigh County, WV; and brother, Bobby Duncan of Raleigh County, WV.
He is survived by sisters, Elizabeth (CC) Waldron of Raleigh County, WV; Donna Bowman (John) of Wyoming County, WV; and Patricia Stewart of Wyoming County, WV; brother, Carl Duncan, Jr. of Boone County, WV; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in West Virginia.
We would like to express our sincerest thanks and appreciation to the palliative care team from Bayshore Home Health, especially his main nurse, Brittney; a very special person. Words cannot begin to describe the loving support that was provided by Hailie Harris who provided end of life support in our home for Lee. You will always be a part of our family.
Lee always helped others, so donations in his memory may be made to Renfrew County Child Poverty Action Network (CPAN) to support underprivileged families in Renfrew County.
Respecting Lee’s wishes a Celebration of Life will be held at his home, 2457 Burnstown Road on Saturday, September 16 from 2 pm to 4 pm. All who knew Lee are welcome to come celebrate.
