It is with sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Lois Gilchrist. She passed away peacefully in the Grove Nursing Home, Arnprior, on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the age of 88 years.

Lois Gilchrist nee Deschamps beloved wife of the late Carl Gilchrist. Dear mother of Fay Woodward (Elroy Sack), Donna Gilchrist (Robert Johnston), Heather (Kevin Ramsbottom), Lianne (Richard Bedard), and Connie Bettinger (Dan Toll). Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Marjorie O’Brien. Predeceased by her twin sister, Eunice Labine, sisters, Arlie Norman, Carol Durocher and brother, David Deschamps.

Friends may call at the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home, Cobden, on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 6 – 8 pm and Friday from 9:30 until 10:30 am. Service in Grace United Church, Cobden on Friday at 11 am. Interment Cobden Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to Kidney Foundation or Alzheimer’s would be greatly appreciated.
