It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Morris, the daughter of the late Jim and Elizabeth Wingle on August 26, 2019 at Hospice Renfrew after a swift and courageous battle with cancer. She is remembered by her husband Bill Morris of 62 years, her children Kaye, Donna, Michael ( Ikuko) and her daughter-in-law Kathryn, wife of her predeceased son David. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Caitlin and Erin Bowers, Garrett, Gregory and Morgan Melenka, Ren and Mami Fujita and her great-grandchildren Charlotte, Rory, Jack, and Autumn along with her siblings Patsy Lepine, Tom Wingle, Helen Fillion, Mary Gauthier, Bishop James Wingle, Pauline Wingle-Land and many nieces and nephews. A resident of Donegal Road, Eganville, both in her childhood and retirement, she also spent many years raising her family in Fort Coulonge QC, finally retiring to Renfrew, ON, in her last years. Margaret was an avid gardener and her passion for all living things including flowers, fruits and vegetables will not soon be forgotten. Margaret is remembered for her tenacity, generosity, sociability and warmth. Even in her dying days Margaret got to know all the nurses and figured out who they were related to in the Ottawa Valley. We will miss her dearly.
Many thanks to the staff at Hospice Renfrew for their kind and gentle care, to Bishop Wingle for an exceptionally beautiful funeral mass and Homily and to all who participated in helping us say goodbye.
Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted.
