September 10, 1938 – February 4, 2024

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marion McDermid on February 4, 2024 at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital in her 86th year.

Predeceased by her first husband, Gerald Francis Lemenchick and survived by her beloved husband, Russell Hunter McDermid. Devoted mother of Kim (Bob) McDonald, David Lemenchick, Heather (Mike) Grover and Donna (Mark) Girouard. Dear grandmother of Robert (Ashley) McDonald, Erin (Thorsten) McDonald, William Grover, Jason Grover, Andrew (Stephanie) Grover, Nicole Girouard, Daniel Girouard and great-grandmother to Bronwyn McDonald.

Cherished daughter of the late Miller and Cora (nee MacDonald) McIntyre of Eganville. Dear sister of Marguerite Heins, Lillian Mosco, Janet Lupiano, JoAnne Einarson and Dianne Johnson. Predeceased by brothers, Donald, Harold and sister, Belva McDonald. Marion was predeceased by all of Gerald’s 14 siblings and their spouses with the exception of her sister-in-law, Katheryn Lemenchick. She was the sister-in-law of Bev McDermid, Lorna McDermid, Elda Ryan and Garry & Myrna McDermid, and predeceased by Pat Ryan, Merrill (Helen), Lloyd, Erma (Paul) and Willard McDermid.

Professional arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. Cremation has taken place.

Liturgy of the Word will be held at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Renfrew on Saturday, April 20th at 11 am. Celebration of Life gathering with refreshments will follow in the St. Francis Xavier Parish Hall.
