Retired Ottawa Police
May 4, 1948 – March 12, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Pat passed away peacefully during a short stay at St. Patrick’s Home.

Beloved husband of 53 years to Muriel (nee Keuhl). A loving father to Doug (Heather), Shawn (Kayla), and Amanda, and special family Rob Lay and Bianca Walker. Cherished grandfather/poppa to Patrick, Ryder, Logan, Mason, Tyson, Quinton, and Lincoln. Only sibling to Mike (Colleen) and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

After 29 years with the Ottawa Police Service, Pat went on to drive limousines for another ten years. He loved driving to Florida, going to the trailer at Lake Clear, and taking his wife out for a coffee at the nearest Tim Horton’s. He also certainly loved his Nascar. He will be missed by many. May he now rest in peace.

Special thank you to St. Patrick’s Home, Bayshore Home Health Care, and the Orleans Palliative Team for all their help and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Society.

Family and friends paid their respects at Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, St. Laurent Chapel, 1200 Ogilvie Road, Ottawa on Sunday, March 17 from 5 to 9 pm. A funeral mass was held at Resurrection of Our Lord Parish, 1940 Saunderson Drive, Ottawa on Monday, March 18 at 11 am, followed by interment at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Cormac.
