It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Philip Skebo on Monday, January 30th, surrounded by his family and friends at Madawaska Valley Hospice after a short battle with cancer.

Beloved husband and best friend of Sandra Skebo for the past 37 years. Loving father of Kelsey (Rob) and Kirk (Emily). Dear brother of Kevin (Thelma), Ron (Georgina) and Patricia (Jean). Very proud Grampy to his girls, Hallie, Berkleigh and Elowen. Philip will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, in-laws (and out-laws), cousins and friends.

Philip is joining his parents, Aurelia and Ray Skebo in heaven. He will be especially missed by his hunting, golf and curling buddies.

Philip will always be remembered as a man who loved the outdoors and wouldn’t miss an opportunity to be catching a fish, hunting a moose or playing a round of golf. He was an extremely hard worker and most know him as a man who could fix anything; Philip loved to have many projects on his to do list. In the past few years, nothing brought him more joy than playing with his granddaughters and giving them a tour of the Wilno farm on the four wheeler.

A special thank you to all of his family and friends who supported Philip these past few months. We are very grateful to his team of doctors at the Ottawa General Hospital and Dr. Meeking and her staff.

Professional arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe. A Funeral Service was held at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Killaloe on Saturday, February 3rd at 11 am, followed by a reception. Cremation has taken place and burial arrangements will be made for the spring.

If so desired, memorial donations can be made to Madawaska Valley Hospice. Tributes, condolences and donations may be made online at www.zohrfuneralhome.com
