Passed away peacefully in the presence of her fur baby dog, Buddy and her beloved son-in-law, Leonard at Bonnechere Manor, Renfrew, on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at the age of 88 years.
Beloved daughter of the late Leonard and Mary Lindsay. Beloved wife of the late Glen Best, loving mother of Debbie Visinski (Leonard), Lindsay Best (Grace), Mary Lynn Johnston (Barry) and Glenda Best Johnston (Kevin). Loving Nana of Kerri Lynn Best Clarke (Roger), Steven Visinski, Jason Best, Stacy Best Brummell (Terry), April Best, Jacob, Vanessa, Glen Gillian Johnston and Alana Peer (Rob). Shirley is predeceased by her daughter, Charlene Best, brothers, Jim and Gerald Lindsay and grandson, Timothy Visinski.
A very special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Bonnechere Manor for the love and care that was provided to Mom especially in her final days here on earth with us. Also, a special thank you to the wonderful friends and fellow residents of the Manor who watched over her in her times of need. And to the special staff that took the time to stop and rub Buddy’s belly, thank you. Thank you to Dr. DiPaolo and the nursing staff and also to Rev. David MacFarlane for his kind words of worship.
Following Shirley’s wishes, professional arrangements were entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew and there was a private graveside service held at Castleford Cemetery.
