July 26, 1963 – February 28, 2020

Susan Joan Berger (Nee Sunderland) of Golden Lake, Born July 26, 1963 in Brockville, Ontario. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her 57 year on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Madawaska Valley Hospice, Barry’s Bay.

Survived by the love of her life George, her loving daughter Ellen and Fur babies Harley, Luxi and Bella.

Daughter of Doreen Dunne and the late Earl Sunderland. Survived by her twin sister Sandra (Vern Mask) and siblings Anne (Steve Lawrence), Bill Sunderland (UBAJ) and Beth (the late Jim Dobson). Daughter-in-law of Alice and the late Leslie. Sister-in-law to joy and brother-in-law to the late Bernie.

Aunt Koool, sue, was survived by many adoring nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who thought she was the absolute best.

Sue’s cancer journey over the past 10 plus years inspired hundreds of friends and followers, who were reminded with her every post, how grateful and blessed she felt for all of their prayers, love and support.

Miss Sue touched the life of all her students, co-workers and support staff throughout the Renfrew County area.

THANK YOU GOD, for letting us have our Sue longer than we expected and celebrate the very special person she was. It gave us all a chance to say “We’ve got this” a few more times and build the strong, diverse village that now connects us all together.

Professional services entrusted to the care of Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville. Following Sue’s wishes cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at St. John’s United Church, Golden Lake. On Friday, March 6, 2020 at 11am.
