September 15, 1952 – June 3, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Schruder, at the age of 72, on Tuesday, June 3rd. Loving father of Kyle (Katelyn) and Chris (Hong), and grandfather to Elizabeth and Makenzie. Terry is survived by his siblings, Murray, Bruce, Ward and Jackie (Jonathan). He will be greatly missed by all his extended family and friends in the Ottawa Valley and beyond.

Born and raised in Augsburg, Terry was the oldest child of the late Ellard Schruder, 2013 and Gloria Schruder (nee Wolfe), 2018.

At the age of 13 Terry left school to help tend the family farm. In his early 20s, he worked alongside his uncle at Sullivan’s Construction, Arnprior and then spent the next 25 years at Len’s Ltd until the store closed its doors. After a few years of working with Tom McCann at the lumberyard, Terry returned to helping out each day at the family farm. The farm always seemed to be a part time job for him!
Terry was a kind, considerate and hardworking man who had a talent for fixing just about anything. He loved his family and his church community. Terry helped anyone in need and always put others before himself. He was a friend to all and will be fondly remembered.

Visitation will be held at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and again on Friday after 9:30 am. A funeral service will be held at Salem Missionary Church, Augsburg on Friday, June 13th at 11am. Internment at Salem Missionary Church Cemetery.
