The Queens Line farming community has lost another member. It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Timothy Andrew Tabbert, who died at Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, July 6 at the age of 62 with family at his side. Tim is the beloved husband of Connie (White) of Foresters Falls. Loving father of Christopher (Amy), Amanda (Alain Letourneau) and Shaun; and grandpa to Henry and Veronica. He was the cherished son of Eleanor (Henry, deceased). Forever in the hearts of his siblings, Terry (Jennifer), Bonnie (Kent McLaughlin), Danny (Lynda) and Linda ‘Mouse’ (Vivian Hill). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tim was a proud farmer his whole life, including his business life, as he spread liquid manure for the farming community since 1982, as well as doing custom field work. Tim loved to work on farm tractors and implements and enjoyed visiting family and friends and making new friends. A truck ride did not happen without his four-legged companion Marley.

A goodbye with Tim could take more than just a few minutes. Tim loved to sing and rarely missed a karaoke evening at the Cobden Legion, Branch 550. Tim’s family hopes you smile when you think of him, and even hum a few bars of a song.

We thank the staff at Ottawa Civic Hospital and Renfrew Victoria Hospital for taking such good care of Tim since April 26.

Cremation has taken place. A public graveside service was held at Howard Cemetery, Foresters Falls. A celebration of Tim’s life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations to Hospice Renfrew would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Heubner, Morris and Fraser Funeral Home, Cobden.

Your labour is done, your home now is heaven; no more must you wait,
Your legacy lives on, your love of the land, and we will close the gate.

Thank you

Thank you, two words that are easy enough to say, but you don’t think are enough. That’s how the family of Tim feels. Since Tim became ill on April 26 until his death on July 6, and even afterwards, the Whitewater Region community, and beyond, has been nothing but kind to us. Farm work had to be done and Connie was not able to do it, not only because she wanted to be with Tim, but because she didn’t know how. The farming community stepped up and fields were disked and crops planted and then sprayed. The cattle were fed, even without Connie having to ask anyone. Marley was also taken care of by a nearby farming family. Family members received food, financial assistance, words of comfort, cards, flowers, plants, phone calls and visits to make sure we were okay. There are too many people to say Thank you to. Connie started a list, but then realized some things were done or brought to the house, or other family’s homes, and she didn’t even know by whom. So, instead of naming anyone, the family has decided to just say Thank you here, you know who you are.

May the Lord bless each and every one of you

Connie and furbaby Marley, Christopher and Amy and children Henry and Veronica,  Amanda (Alain Letourneau), Eleanor (mom), and siblings Terry (Jennifer), Bonnie (Kent McLaughlin), Danny (Lynda) and Linda ‘Mouse’ (Vivian Hill).
