April 4, 1951 – July 12, 2024

It is with a profound sense of loss, following a lengthy illness, that the family of Bill Schweig shares news of his passing in his 74th year.

Much loved husband of Elaine, loving father of Vincent (Tammy), Will (Jessica) and Kimberly (predeceased). Bill was also the doting Poppa of Cadence, Emma, Lucas, Hailey, Vinnessa, Ethan and Blake. Survived by his siblings, David (Monique) and Sharon (Eric). Predeceased by his brothers, Tom (Joan) and Wayne (Linda), and his sisters, Beryl (Bud) and Kathy (Bill). Caring “Uncle Billy” to many nieces and nephews.

Bill had a great passion for family, his friends, and his community and found a way to enjoy every moment with them.

The last Reeve of Radcliffe Township, and the first Reeve of Madawaska Valley Township, Bill also served two terms as Warden of Renfrew County. An avid outdoorsman, Bill loved hunting, fishing, boating and spending time in nature.

A celebration of life will be held at the Combermere Community Centre on July 27 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your local food bank would be appreciated by the family.
