Bill passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024 after having recently celebrated his 89th birthday.

Born on May 22, 1935 on the Boland family farm in Donegal (close to Eganville, Ontario), Bill was the son of George William Boland and Kathleen Ann Armour. Bill was a proud employee of Bell Canada for 36 years where he formed many life-long friendships. Bill married the love of his life, Ghyslaine (nee Guilbault) Boland and was blessed to have been married for 62 years.

Bill is survived by Ghyslaine; his three daughters, Nathalie Boland-MacInnis (Mike MacInnis), Kay Boland (Andy Marcus) and Joann Boland; as well as his seven grandchildren, Lindsay, Justin, Connor, William, Jaimie, Matthew and Jacob (J.C.). Bill is also survived by his sisters, Mae Rooney (Earl), Kathleen Fournier, Colleen McNeely (George) and Loretta; as well as his brother-in-law, Francois Guilbault (Suzanne).

Bill will be fondly remembered for his silliness and shenanigans, as well as for his deep love and pride in his family. We are filled with joy that he is now reunited with his loving parents and his siblings, Howard, Tom, Gerri, Helena and Kenneth.

As per Bill’s wishes, a private family service has taken place to celebrate his full and meaningful life. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
