(KILLALOE, ON) – During the week of April 29 – May 5, 2019 there were 88 calls for service for the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), including the Whitney Detachment.
There were ten motor vehicle collisions, six were animal related.
There were four domestic disputes and one domestic dispute which resulted in ! criminal code charges.
Domestic Breach of Recognizance Conditions Charge
On Saturday May 5, 2019 at approximately 11: 50 a.m., members of the Killaloe OPP detachment initiated an investigation into breach of court ordered release conditions at a residence in Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township. As a result of police investigation, 40 year old male from North Algona Wilberforce Township was arrested and charged with Breach of Recognizance conditions, contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused was held pending a bail court hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke. The name of the accused has not been released to protect the identity of the victim.
Impaired Driving Charges
Golden Lake — Ontario Provincial Police at Killaloe charged a resident of Pikwakakanagan with impaired driving last Wednesday, May 1
Police stopped a vehicle at about 12:52 a.m. on Kagagiman Inamo Road, Pikwakanagan. The driver failed the roadside alcohol screening device test and a result of an investigation, Rachel Sarazin, 56, was with Impaired Operation and Over 80.
