Renfrew — OPP officers had a busy week with 297 calls for service and several charges laid including domestic violence charges, assault and theft.
Last Tuesday, May 7, officers with the Renfrew OPP responded to an assault call in Arnprior. As a result of the investigation, Jaclyn Lappierre, 28, of Arnprior was charged with assault, mischief and assault with a weapon. She was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on May 9. 
In a separate incident on the same day, officers responded to a break and enter call on Astrolabe Road in Whitewater Township. The investigation is continuing anyone with information is asked to contact the Renfrew OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
Last Thursday, officers responded to a theft call at a business in Renfrew. Lynne Dyer, 43, of Renfrew, has been charged with theft under $5,000. She was released on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice.
Threats
Last Monday, May 6, officers responded to a threats call in Greater Madawaska Township. Following an investigation Christopher McCanna-Wright, 29, of Greater Madawaska Township has been charged with failing to comply with a probation order and three counts of uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death. He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.
Impaired Driving
Last Thursday, while conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 17 in Horton Township, charged Crystal Plain, 25, of Horton Township with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with over 80mg of alcohol. She will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on May 22.
Domestic Violence
Arnprior and Renfrew officers investigated 17 domestic disputes during the past week. One male was charged with uttering threats. Another male was charged with disobeying a court order, two counts of criminal harassment, two counts of failing to comply with recognizance and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order. One man was charged with criminal harassment, failing to comply with a recognizance and failing to comply with a probation order. One male was charged with assault.
